How a just-for-kids cartoon launch helped communities head back to school
A double scoop of creativity and compassion
To launch Cartoonito, a new programming block on Cartoon Network and HBO Max for pre-schoolers, we created a 7-city mobile tour that visited underserved schools and children’s museums to get families pumped about Cartoonito while preparing them for back-to-school.
This just-for-kids experience featured a colorful ice cream truck serving up Cartoonito-branded backpacks filled with essential school supplies and several other creativity-inspired activations.
Not only did we distribute 10,000 backpacks to students nationwide, we also partnered with Teach for America and the Kids in Need Foundation to donate an additional 5,000 backpacks to kids and families in need.
